Card 2 Cryptids
Remember, if you haven't used our clues pages yet, check out the instructions here to learn how they work and how to best utilize them.
Hint 1
You may need to reflect on this card a bit more.
Hint 2
If you're working in order, you may have seen something similar on another card.
Hint 3
It all seems very disordered.
Solution
Final Solution: The text is all backwards. Flipped around it tell you Eureka and state motto.
A little searching will tell you that 'eureka' is the state motto of California.
Hint 1
This one would be harder to solve if it wasn't on this card.
Hint 2
You're sure to shout EUREKA! once you figure it out.
Hint 3
A classic code, presented just a little differently.
Hint 4
How did you solve the text above?
Hint 5
This puzzle uses the same idea as the text, in that it's presented backwards. Only it's alphanumeric instead of just alphabetical, so it's a little harder to see.
Solution
Final Solution: If you read the numbers back-to-front and swap them to the corresponding letters of the alphabet, you get: Clovis City.
Hint 1
805 Peach is pretty vague. You'll need some more info
Hint 2
How much of the card have you solved, yet? This data won't get you far unless you've narrowed your search.
Hint 3
Have you solved everything on the front of the card?
Hint 4
Alright, so you know that you're in Clovis, CA. Now you should be able to find somewhere specific.
Solution
Final Solution: Combining 805 Peach with your city and state will get you to Railroad Park.
Hint 1
Do you have a specific location yet? You'll want to know where to begin before you can figure out where to go
Hint 2
The capitalized words seem to be giving you directions. But they won't make much sense unless you have a starting point in mind. And you'll also need more than just directions.
Hint 3
Knowing that you start at Railroad Park you should be able to make some headway. Look at the streets surrounding the park and then read your text again.
Hint 4
Are certain words in the text suddenly looking familiar?
Hint 5
Some of the key words: PEACH, SHEPHERD, SUNNYSIDE, 200th CELEBRATION
Solution
Final Solution: Based on the street names and direction, from Railroad Park you must go north on Peach Ave, East on Shepherd, and then South on Sunnyside, ending at Sierra Bicentennial Park.
Hint 1
Do you know what city you're in yet?
Hint 2
Hmmm, you're not actually in Fresno, so this must be related to something other than your location.
Hint 3
Ewww, why is it made of worms?
Hint 4
Plus there's the knight on the stamp. There's a lot going on here. Your solution will tie it all together. Google may help. Try anything you can think of. Get creative with your search terms. Try synonyms and homophones.
Solution
Final Solution: There are many bits of solution in these clues, and various combinations may get you to the answer. A homophone for 'knight' is 'night.' A common type of worm is a 'nightcrawler.'
Ultimately, you are looking the Fresno Nightcrawler.
